Bunsen and Meker Burners

The Bunsen Burner produces over 5,000 BTU per hour, using natural gas. It has two adjustable air inlets, tip esistant base and a replaceable flame retainer.

The Meker Burner heat output is in excess of 12,000 BTU per hour using LP gas. A stainless steel grid top with 100 openings ensures uniform heating. The Meker burner is made with a chrome plated brass body and zinc-aluminum base. An adjustable air shutter and gas orifices ensure complete combustion.

Applications

Sample drying, general reagent heating, evaporation and heating asphaltic product.

Description

The Hot Plates have aluminum, cast iron or porcelain coated stainless tops with embedded heating elements to provide temperature uniformity and stability. This ensures that there is less chance for “cold” or “hot” spots.

Hot plates with tubular elements may be less expensive but do not offer the above benefits.

Thermostatic temperature control senses top plate temperature to provide excellent stability. Aluminum tops offer control at low temperatures and are recommended for glass vessels only. Cast iron tops accommodate metal vessels. The porcelain coated stainless steel top has excellent corrosion resistance and is recommended for use with glass vessels.

The 12 x 24 hot plate case is painted with epoxy paint for increased chemical resistance in corrosive environments.  The 12 x 12 in and 12 x 24 in plates accommodate up to 40 lb (18 kg) loads.  All models are 50/60 Hz.

Hot Plate-Oven

Applications

The Hot Plate-Oven turns a regular Model GO-235 or similar hot plate into an oven. This is ideal for drying, baking, preheating and curing applications.

Description

It features double wall construction and includes a removable shelf and a thermometer port on top.

Muffle Furnaces

Applications

Muffle furnaces are used for ashing organic and inorganic samples, ignition tests, gravimetric analysis and determination of volatile and suspended solids.

Description

Our bench top muffle furnaces have an operating range of 100 to 1100°C. Temperature is set by turning a knob and pressing the “push to set temperature” button. Chamber temperature is displayed on a digital readout. Ceramic fiber insulation permits faster heat-up and reduces energy consumption. Embedded heating elements on the top and sides improve the chamber temperature gradient. The drop-down door design doubles as a convenient shelf for loading and unloading samples. These ovens have a door safety switch which cuts power to the elements if the door is opened during use.

Description

The microprocessor-based digital controller assures accurate temperature control. Fan circulates air after it is heated to allow more uniform heat distribution. The welded double wall construction and glass fiber insulation reduce heat loss. UL listed. Heater has 5-year warranty.

Forced Circulation 7 ft³ Ovens

Applications

This series of ovens is a favorite for soil moisture content determinations. The GO-220 is best liked for soils and the GO-222 is the first choice for both soils and asphalt. The GO-224 provides up to 550°F (288°C) temperatures for asphalt testing.

Description

These economical, forced-circulation bench ovens feature large work spaces and portability with a power cord connector. They can be stacked to conserve space. An adapter to vent exhaust fumes is available. All models come with two adjustable shelves with weight carrying capacities of 50 lb each.

Double Wall Utility Ovens

Applications

These ovens are designed for drying, evaporating, heat treating, sterilizing and testing. Made with quality UL and CSA listed components, they are competitively priced and offer exceptional value and reliability. The control panel is equipped with an illuminated On/Off rocker switch and Heat/Cycle pilot light. Temperature is controlled by an automatic hydraulic thermostat and relies on gravity convection (no fan).

Description

Exteriors are painted light gray and have a hard hammer finish. Interiors are made of corrosive-resistant aluminized steel. Cabinets are heavy steel, double-wall construction.

Warming Pot

Applicationswarming pot for paraffin wax

The warming pot is used to melt and maintain the heat level of paraffin sealing waxes and capping compounds. It has an adjustable thermostat and provides heat up to 550 degrees F (288C). The inner chamber is cast aluminum insulated with 3 inches of fiberglass. The outside is stainless steel. The aluminum top cover has a wood handle. The pot is provided with a pilot ligth and a 6 ft (2.4m), 3-conductor grounded power cord. They are available in for sizes with heating elements for 110 or 220 Volt 50/60 Hz, single phase circuits.
