Stirring Apparatus
Applications
The Stirring Apparatus is used to prepare soil samples for hydrometer testing. The soil samples are first mixed with the dispersing agent to retard flocculation. Mixing of the soil and dispersant is done with the aparatus and a Special Mixing Paddle made to ASTM specifications. At the maximum of three-speeds, apparatus rotates at about 10,000 rpm under no-load.
Description
The apparatus includes a standard stirring paddle and a dispersion cup with stationary soil baffles.
