DGSI Launches New GeoFlex System

It’s our latest line of in-place inclinometers. The GeoFlex system is a string of closely spaced MEMS sensors and is ideal for monitoring ground movement around deep foundation elements, retaining structures, slopes, tunnels, embankments and dams. The GeoFlex system is, as its name implies, flexible in more ways than one.

GeoFlex Node

GeoFlex consists of either 10 ft or 3m segments, allowing you to order and install the length you need. The system is robust, allowing it be removed and reinstalled on future projects. The sensors are fully addressable, so it doesn’t matter what order you put them in the ground. Sensorless nodes can be installed at the top of the system, allowing you to economize and monitor only the zone of interest and bypassing the upper layers. The GeoFlex system is designed to be installed by one person in either 1.5″ PVC pipe or in existing 2.75″ inclinometer casing.

GeoFlexThe GeoFlex segments have joints capable of bending to 90º, allowing them to be shipped in a carton measuring 26 x 26 x 26 inches. Up to 5 segments can be shipped in a single carton, which still weighs less than 50 pounds. Cartons can be shipped overnight via common carrier, getting them to your project when you need them. The compact carton also allows you to transport them in standard vehicles, making it easier to get it to your jobsite. The 10 ft /3 m segments allow you or your staff to install the system in tight spaces without any additional equipment.
